BSAC students have designed an app, Boston Student Rights, for Boston Public Schools students and teachers to use as a resource to look up rights and understand school discipline under the Code of Conduct. This tool can be a starting point for meaningful dialogue and relationship building. Check out the app today!
The app allows students, families, and teachers to:
- Get clarity on BPS Students’ Rights & Responsibilities. For example, understand when cell phones cannot be used in school or what the rights are around dress code.
- Understand the process of suspension or expulsion with an easy-to-follow guide and find legal help and advocacy services for discipline cases.
- Learn more about BSAC and our upcoming events.
- Boston Student Rights was created by the Boston Student Advisory Council in collaboration with Youth on Board and the Boston Public Schools.
