Help for BPS Teacher Katie Landi
On December 21, 2014, Katie was rushed to the hospital after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a type of stroke. Currently, she is the intensive care unit and fighting hard to recover. (We apologize to anyone who learns this news over the internet — Katie has so many friends and family it has been difficult to reach out to everyone at this time).
If you know Katie, you understand how incredibly strong and tough she is. We are confident that she will make a full recovery. She is 37 years old, in great physical shape and no known health issues. Katie has been a very loved special education teacher in the Boston Public Schools for over ten years and her dedication to her students goes far beyond the walls of the classroom. She is a fiercely loyal friend and always does anything she can to help others. She is an incredible mother to her beautiful three-year-old daughter, Alexis, and we know that the intense love she has for her daughter will bring her through this difficult time.
