General Wage Increases for All Members
On Friday, December 9, 2022, each BTU member will see the general wage increases reflected in their paycheck as a result of the recently ratified collective bargaining agreement. The back pay for 9/1/2021-11/17/22 will be issued in a separate check. We anticipate that to be issued no later than the paycheck date, January 20, 2023.
Salary Adjustments for Specific Groups
Hub School Coordinators Salary Group Transition
Hub School Coordinators will be placed on the updated salary scale, effective 9/1/2022. This change will be reflected in the paycheck issued on 12/9/2022. In addition to the general wage increase, Hub School Coordinators will receive retro pay for 9/1/22-11/17/2022. Retro will be issued on 1/20/22.
Family Liaisons Salary Group Transition
Family Liaisons will be placed on the updated CFC pay scale, effective 9/1/2022. This change will be reflected in the paycheck issued on 12/9/2022. In addition to the general wage increase, eligible Family Liaisons will receive retro pay for 9/1/22-11/17/2022. Retro/back pay will be issued on 1/20/22.
OHC has reviewed the file of each Family Liaison for transcripts for placement on the corresponding grade, and then reviewed the work history for the corresponding step placement. Each work year, in which an employee was in a paid status for a minimum for 120 days will count as creditable service year, for the purposes of step placement.
OHC has identified the employees who will be placed on grade 1, as there is no record of college credits on file. Those employees will be notified and given an opportunity to update their education credentials.
Juris Doctorate Salary Lane Change
All juris doctorate salary lane changes will be effective 9/1/2022. OHC is finalizing the submission process. We’ll provide a timeline for implementation in our next update.
Adult Education Salary Group Transition
The changes that impact the employees in the Adult Education program are still under review. We are working closely with the union to establish an implementation criteria that would be the least disruptive to the learning environment. We’ll provide a timeline for implementation in our next update.
Para Service Credit Review
Although the Para service credit review is still in progress, effective 9/1/2022, OHC will restore eligible creditable service years. Each work year, in which an employee was in a paid status for a minimum for 120 days, outside of the unit, will count as a creditable para service year, for the purposes of step placement. We’ll provide a timeline for implementation in our next update.
Inside Service Credit Review for Provisional Teachers
Although the inside service credit review is still in progress, effective 9/1/2022, OHC will restore eligible creditable inside service years, for provisional teachers. Each work year, in which an employee was in a paid status for a minimum for 120 days will count as creditable service year, for the purposes of step placement. We’ll provide a timeline for implementation in our next update.
