The BTU is pleased to offer this series of drop-in support sessions designed to provide teachers with individualized supports in commonly requested areas. Peer Assistants and PAR Consulting Teachers will be on hand to help you plan lessons and answer questions about any and all things instruction.

All sessions are at the BTU. Bring your laptop, and drop in anytime from 4-6 PM. Download a flyer.

Thursday, October 25: Facilitating Cognitively Demanding Tasks: Lesson Planning for Cognitive Demand
Revise and plan lessons to ramp up cognitive demand. Come by with your laptop and lesson plans.

Thursday, November 8: Assessment for Learning: Using Formative Assessments in Lesson Planning
In this drop-in session PA and PAR coaches will be available to support teachers in using formative assessments like exit tickets, conferring notes and observational data to plan and drive instruction. Please bring samples of data to use for discussion.

Thursday, December 6: Artifact Lounge
Put your best foot forward with powerful artifacts for your formative and summative evaluations. Drop by and get support in choosing artifacts that showcase your work and in writing powerful rationales.
