Jinny Chalmers Fund for Education Justice Grant Proposals Welcome
The Jinny Chalmers Fund for Education Justice is seeking funding proposals for projects aimed at furthering excellent, inclusive education and racial justice for children and families in Greater Boston. Applications will be considered during three funding cycles in 2022: April, July and October. Stand With LGBTQIA+ Teachers in Florida
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the “Don’t Say Gay/Don’t Say Trans” law, and its chilling effect on teachers is already underway. No teacher should have to lie about who they are. Florida shouldn’t try to force teachers back into the closet. They shouldn’t try to erase LGBTQIA+ families. But that’s exactly what DeSantis and his allies are doing. Let’s show DeSantis and the forces behind this bill that the American people won’t stand for this.

Do you know a high school student looking for a summer job? Encourage them to apply for the Summer Leadership Program! The program provides young people aged 14-19 with an exciting, powerful, and life-changing summer of community building, political education, and leadership development. Young people can learn more and apply here.
Outbreak! Summer Enrichment Program
The Outbreak! summer enrichment program for the Public Health Museum is FREE for students entering grades 10-12 and the content focuses on various careers in public health. The program is entirely online and will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between July 18-29. The application priority deadline is April 15.
NEW- EdVestors’ School on the Move Prize Applications
The School on the Move Prize is now open for applications! EdVestors is seeking to recognize schools, leaders, and teachers who create & improve learning environments where students thrive. All KO-12 Boston Public Schools are eligible to apply. Round 1 applications are due on April 29th at 5pm. EdVestors’ 19th Education Showcase is also taking place on April 28th from 4-5:30pm via Zoom. The Showcase will spotlight Boston Public School educators, administrators, partners, and students — providing space to learn from their experiences, engage in reflection, and imagine for the future.

Since early December, the Mission Hill School community has been waiting for the public release of both an Emergency School Review and a Superintendent’s investigation. But Boston Public Schools has, despite repeated promises, failed to release their findings.
