Join our youth from Chelsea, Revere, Everett, and East Boston as they go knocking door to door to activate voters and residents for education justice. The route will begin and end at the Chelsea Colaborative’s office, starting at 3:00pm. We can unite as teachers, parents and students to activate members of our communities for greater quality schools.

Greater Good is an experiential new play that comes from Obie Award winner Kirsten Greenidge. The play will be held at the Commonwealth School and will examine Boston’s legacy as a hub for education through the lens of a private, progressive school that is struggling to live up to its mission.
ASSISTments Summer Paid Study Opportunity
Together with Worcester Polytechnical Institute and Lesley University’s Center for Mathematics Achievement, ASSISTments is looking for diverse 6th-8th grade math teachers to pilot a new feedback system that will help teachers give more effective feedback on student assignments. We regret to inform you of the passing of Mary Jane Wickman, mother of RTC member Kristen W. Pinto. A funeral mass was celebrated at St Bartholomew’s Church in Needham on July 1. See Mary’s full obituary.
The BTU was saddened to learn that Mary Josephine Murphy Marcelonis of Westwood passed away on June 13. She was a teacher in the Needham, Pembroke and Boston Public Schools before transitioning to Media Specialist in the Boston Public Schools, where she retired from Brighton High School in 1996.
