Please plan to join us for BTU Night at the Red Sox on Thursday, May 25. Tickets are first come, first served and are $30 each. You have to come in and pick them up at the office. We have 290 tickets left for bleacher seats, section 41, rows 28-45. For ticket information, please email us or call the office at 617-288-2000.
Please plan to join us for a Job Share Info Session on Monday, March 20, from 4-6 PM in A&B at the BTU. This will be conducted in conjunction with OHC. Please email Caren or Michael with questions.
ALL CANDIDATE SIGNATURES DUE TOMORROW – MARCH 8!!!
Signature pages must be submitted to the Election Committee at the BTU between 3 pm until 6:30 or end of union meeting, whichever comes last.
Candidates or a proxy may submit signature pages.
All signature pages for each office must be submitted at the same time. They will be sealed in an envelope that can not be opened for additional pages. Candidates should be sure that they or their proxy have all pages before submitting. A carbon copy receipt will be provided.
Signatures will be validated on March 9 and a list of candidates will be posted shortly thereafter. The order on ballot will be drawn on March 16 at 4 pm. Candidates are welcome to come and draw their own number – otherwise their number will be pulled by an election committee member.
Save the date – CANDIDATES NIGHT – April 12 following the union meeting at the BTU. All members welcome.
Candidates for the primary and final elections are welcome to submit a head shot photo and up to 150 word candidate statement biographies to be run in the BTU news. Primary deadline – March 24, at 5pm. Final deadline April 12 at 5 pm. Send by email to both email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org.

ACLC is looking for qualified instructors to join its staff of tutors. A Bachelor’s degree is required, as is teaching and/or tutoring experience in the related subject(s). The Boston Teachers Union is saddened to announce the death of Christopher D. Brienza, who was 22 years old and a member of the Navy in Pensacola, Florida. Christopher was the grandson of Paraprofessional and Substitute Teacher Field Representative Josefina Lascano and the nephew of Liz Vara, a teacher at the Channing. Arrangements are not yet finalized. We extend our most heartfelt condolences to Josefina’s family as well as to the Brienza family.
