The ELT agreement calls for nearly 400 teachers in Schedule A schools to receive training in the facilitation of adult learning. We are about to begin designing the trainings for these facilitators. Please answer this one question survey to let us know what you believe a good facilitator of collaborative time should know and be able to do. If you have questions, comments or ideas about this aspect of the agreement, please contact Paul Tritter.
Serve as a facilitator
Serve on the Joint Task Force
A joint task force will be convened to oversee the implementation of the new ELT agreement. Though the specific time commitment and responsibilities are yet to be determined, the task force will have input on reviewing school plans for use of the extended time, creating and approving the content of the training of teacher-facilitators, and facilitating the sharing of best practices that develop over the course of the agreement. The BTU will appoint three members to this task force.
Please apply here. The application includes a short essay. The deadline is Friday, January 30 at midnight. Members must be employed in a Schedule A school to be considered.
