This is a reminder that the time for uploading artifacts is approaching for members on Self-Directed Plans. For individuals on other plans, consult your individual timeline. If any members need evaluation assistance, the BTU will be offering two workshops during April to assist in this process. The first will be on Saturday, April 1, and the second will be on Saturday, April 29. Both will be held at the BTU from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Primary Race for Secretary/Treasurer and Paraprofessional/Substitute Field Rep:
Ballots will be mailed out on April 3 and must be received at AAA in New York by April 30. In-person voting will take place at the BTU on May 3 from 6 AM to 8 PM. Bring your picture ID.

Are you a BPS paraprofessional without a Bachelor’s degree who wants to become a licensed classroom teacher in the Boston Public Schools? If yes, then the JET Program may be for you.
Journey into Education and Teaching (JET) is a nonprofit educational program partnering with the Boston Public Schools Office of Human Capital. JET offers a multi-year cohort-based teacher pipeline program for BPS paraprofessionals without Bachelor’s degrees. The Boston Teachers Union regrets to inform you that Sharon Jane (Rose) DePina, a sister of Brenda Chaney, who is the BTU’s Parent and Community liaison, has passed away. Going home services will be on Tuesday, March 28 at Charles Street AME Church on 541 Warren Street, with a viewing from 9-10 and the service from 10-11.
