Good morning. We hope you had a good week last week and that this week will be even better.
Attend the #NoOn2 Rally Tonight!
We have seven days to go before the most consequential ballot question on education in the country will be decided. Last week’s Boston Globe poll reports that we are tied 45% to 45%, with 9% undecided. Accurate or not, the polls show a close vote.
We need your help to defeat this harmful ballot initiative. Losing Question 2 will result in losing hundreds of millions of dollars from our schools. Our students and families cannot afford to lose. Please join us:
- TONIGHT: Save Our Public Schools — NO on 2 Rally! Please join us TONIGHT, Tuesday, November 1 at 6:30 PM for a rally with hundreds of NO on 2 supporters at Prince Hall in Roxbury. Let’s send a message to Massachusetts voters and media that the parents, students and teachers of Boston are #NOon2! Find out more details and RSVP. Confirmed speakers include Mayor Marty Walsh, Mel King, City Councilors Tito Jackson and Ayanna Pressley, the BTU president, BPS parents, students and community leaders.
- This Saturday, November 5: Get Out the Vote Rally and Canvass! If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to get involved, this is it! Join us at our final Get Out The Vote Push with BTU members and community on Saturday, November 5 from 9:30 AM until 4 PM. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Sign up for a volunteer shift!
