For those who have been excessed, have excessed themselves, or are for any reason interested in applying for one of the positions being posted in the coming weeks (Open Posted and Transfer List), you should begin an application for one of the generic “District Pool” positions at this site (for current BPS employees only).
There will be many fewer positions on the transfer list this year, so you may want to apply for open posted positions as well. The process is roughly the same. It is strongly recommended that you start ASAP, as principals already have access to approved candidates and the district has been conducting interviews for the last several weeks. You will want to complete the application as soon as possible in order to have your application vetted by the central office. You can return to the site on March 1 to apply for any posted positions.
Were You Excessed improperly?
If you are permanent BPS teacher who believes that you have been excessed from a traditional school improperly, please email your respective Field Rep, Caren or Michael, explaining in detail why you think your excessing to be improper. Please include a copy of the excess letter and your contact info so that we can look into it ASAP.
