We regret to announce that Ms. Felecia Fields, a paraprofessional and building representative at the Frederick Middle School, passed away. The Boston Teachers Union extends our most sincere condolences to her family. Felecia Marian Fields, 59 of Dorchester, passed away January 15, 2016, was the loving mother of Malik, Amie and Keillen Fields and the dear sister of Clarence Fields. She is also survived by a loving host of other relatives and friends. Her wake and funeral were held on January 22 at the Greater Love Tabernacle Church. She was buried at Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Roslindale. There is a GoFundMe page set up to help the family. The BTU sends its most sincere condolences.

The Boston Teachers Union is saddened to announce the death of Lennie Miraglia, long time officer of the Retired Teachers Chapter. Lennie was a business teacher at the Burke as well as a BTU Building Representative for a number of years. Lennie worked tirelessly in his retirement a few days per week at the BTU office helping retired members as well as others. He will be dearly missed by many, including his extended BTU family.
