Sekou Mims, the former BPS Pupil Adjustment Counselor, passed on December 23. Visitation and funeral services were held at the Boston Teachers Union on December 30. Sekou’s long history working with youth human services and community service programs was the foundation for his career in the human services field. As a counselor, BPS Pupil Adjustment Counselor, and founder of Pyramid Builders Associates Inc., Sekou made a difference in the lives of countless youth and families in the City of Boston. The Boston Teachers Union regrets to announce the death of Tara Sisco, daughter of BTU member Nancy Sisco. Tara passed away after a long illness. Viewing hours are this Sunday from 2-4, at the Davis Funeral Home, and the funeral will be held the following day, 1/6, at Bethel AME at 11, with a viewing at 10.
