Summer Fun Music Fundraiser: June 22
Compassionate Care Center, an organization supporting new arrivals to the United States with basic English instruction and help in citizenship tests, will host a fundraiser at the Second Church, 600 Washington Street, Dorchester. Funds will benefit services for recent immigrants, as well as a school in Haiti. See the flyer.
Critical Explorers Summer Workshop for Educators: August 6-8
This three-day workshop is open to K-12 teachers. Held in Cambridge, it is designed to help participants stretch their understandings of critical exploration. The distinctive teaching approach powerfully supports both original inquiry and democratic conversation, all while involving students in developing deep understandings of the subjects they study.
