Materials and how-to
Please note that materials are labeled “drafts” — they will continue to be updated as new campaign information is released.
To organize a teach-in, we suggest the following process:
1. Choose a date and time for members to meet before or after school (or even offsite!)
2. Make copies of the candidate guide
3. Start a conversation!
Suggested discussion questions:
What issues are most important to you?
Which candidate has positions most aligned to your values?
What do you think BTU should consider in endorsing a candidate?
Which candidate do you think the BTU should endorse? Why?
This is a great opportunity for political discussions and engagement, as well as making connections between education justice and other social justice movements. Whether or not we make a decision to endorse, we hope this will serve as an opportunity to engage our members and motivate them to take political action.
