BTU Affinity Group on Science Writing
We are a group of elementary and middle school science teachers focused on discussing and improving how we are teaching the different genres of science writing. We meet monthly to discuss best practices, look at student work, and brainstorm ideas for implementing writing in our science classes. Our goal is to create a library of student work exemplars, writing assignment descriptions, and rubrics that we can both use ourselves and share with our fellow science colleagues. Join us for our next meeting on Monday, December 7 from 4:30–5:45 PM at the Jackson Mann. Space is limited. Contact Christina Kostaras for details.
