Incoming Superintendent Tommy Chang Wants to Meet You
Dr. Chang has added an additional Listen and Learn tour event for BTU members on June 30 from 8:-9:30 AM at the new BPS headquarters at the Bolling Building in Dudley Square. Come and share your thoughts about what is working well, what needs to be changed, and what you hope for the future.PD Votes
If your school or department has not yet held a vote on how to use the six hours of January 4 professional development, please do so as soon as possible. Once your school or or department has voted, a Building Rep should complete this complete this 30-second, four-question survey. This will help us prepare to make the January 4 experience the best it can be for all schools. Here’s some background on the issue:

“…School staff can decide to convert January 4 AND agree to participate in a new, citywide district-/union-run PD that will be offered on January 4, 2016. (The PD activities we plan for January 4 will be jointly planned by the BTU and the School Department. This is a new initiative.) If a staff votes to take advantage of the new district-/union-run PD on January 4, 2016, that satisfies the six-hour requirement for that day…”
