Registration is now open for the 2023 THE EXAMINED LIFE: Greek Studies in the Schools program. The program includes a Study Tour of Greece, April 14-23, 2023, interesting and vibrant Saturday morning seminars, and the opportunity to earn 3 graduate credits through Framingham State University. Learn to be a stronger evaluator, coach, and colleague by learning ways to support teachers’ growth through observing and giving feedback. 1 ALC or 15 PDPs. See flyer to sign up. Join with a group of BPS colleagues for 6 virtual sessions to learn together as a team. Address a common challenge, observe effective practices in an actual classroom setting, develop ideas to bring back to your own setting, and get support as you try out new ideas. This ALC course will be facilitated by veteran SLIFE educators and will address the question“How do we build students’ foundational skills in a SLIFE classroom while promoting their readiness to access grade-level content?” First session starts 10/27. OMME is pleased to offer RETELL courses free for BPS educators! If you need to take the SEI Endorsement course or are interested to take as a PD opportunity, please sign up using this Google form. Please note: if you are a teacher or admin who wants the SEI Endorsement for teachers to renew your teacher license, you need to take the SEI teacher course. Also, per DESE, you can only miss one teacher class and cannot miss an admin course to pass the course. If you have any questions, please contact Margaret Arlauskas at firstname.lastname@example.org. - Instructional Technology Specialist Licensure
The program is designed as a cohort model of 10 specialists starting summer 2023 for one academic year. You will get the latest skills and competencies in the areas of computer technology in education, e-learning design, assistive technology plus an internship experience where you will work closely with a colleague(s) from your own school/district on a mutually agreed upon project.
We will be hosting a virtual open house on November 9 from 6-7 p.m. Eastern to talk more about this exciting opportunity that will enhance your career!
