Arnold Arboretum Summer Institute: Investigating Ecosystems Through Fieldwork 
The Arnold Arboretum offers a free, 5-day summer institute from August 12-16 aimed at educators of 6th – 12th graders. Participants will learn and practice fieldwork techniques in the study of two ecosystems: an urban forest and a meadow. 

NEW — Fall 2019 Para Professional Development Series: Deadline July 15
Professional development will be held on September 4 for Grades 2-12, and September 6 for K0-K2. Please see the flyer for more information.

2019-2020 Teacher Leadership Fund Grantees Announced
Congratulations to the 24 teams who have been awarded grants in this year’s Teacher Leadership Fund (TLF) cohort. The TLF is a feature of our contract which empowers teams of educators to address challenges facing marginalized students. The grantee teams came together last week at the BTU to build community and make connections across grants. We look forward to learning with and from their work.

NEW — The Examined Life: April 17-26, 2020
Greek Studies in the Schools has opened their 2020 registration link at www.teachgreece.org. A limited number of $1000 stipends are available for qualified educators. The Study Tour of Greece is scheduled for April 17-26, 2020 and is the highlight of our semester long graduate and professional development program which takes as its theme the Socratic call to “the examined life.” Read the flyer or contact Executive Director Mary Kemper for details at exlteachgreece@gmail.com. Registration will be open until the program is filled.
