Over the last month, thousands of Detroit teachers have been protesting the absolutely horrid conditions in the Detroit Public Schools by the only way they know to bring their story to the public view: They’re staying home in a sick out. Who can blame them? The conditions under which the students learn and the teachers teach are a national disgrace. The Detroit Free Press reports:
