Education Secretary Betsy DeVos gave a speech late last month in which she compared a woman’s choice to have an abortion to the choice to own slaves. She also spoke about what she called “the irony of being ‘pro-choice’ for the mother who seeks an abortion but not for the mother who seeks a different school for her child.”
