The Massachusetts Teachers Association — the largest teachers union in the state — elected a new slate of leaders over the weekend at its annual meeting in the Hynes Convention Center.

Merrie Najimy, a Concord kindergarten teacher, was voted president, and University of Massachusetts Amherst professor Max Page was elected vice president, the union said in a statement. Both will begin two-year terms in July.
