Please note: The summer program posting for the ELL Summer Enrichment Academies ran in late May/early June and contained an inconsistency. Both teachers and paraprofessionals were told that there’d be a stipend, and, later in the job posting, the stipend morphed into an hourly wage, which in most cases was greatly reduced from the stipend posted. The BTU has filed a grievance on this discrepancy, seeking the larger sum of money for any and all members, teachers and paras, affected. Also, we’ve been told that some of those hired were sent home for lack of work partway through the program. If you fall into this category and were denied full employment, please contact Patrick Connolly to discuss a possible grievance. Thank you.
