  • Teacher & Principal Advisory Cabinet
We are actively recruiting educators for the 2020-2021 cabinet, which will bring teachers and school-level administrators together to share input related to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and leading, and collaborate on creative, culturally responsive approaches to professional learning and educator evaluation In support of our focus on equity and culturally responsive teaching and leading, we seek participants who are:

    • Committed to using evaluation as a tool for professional growth and learning
    • Dedicated to disrupting cycles of historic racism and inequities in education
    • Solutions-oriented and embody a growth mindset

We seek a group of educators representing urban, suburban, and rural districts and reflecting the diversity of Massachusetts’s students. In addition to classroom teachers and principals, the Teacher & Principal Advisory Cabinet is open to all educators who work with students across grade levels and content areas, including specialists, coaches, specialized instructional support personnel, department chairs, and assistant/vice principals. In an effort to center voices from communities that have been historically marginalized in public education, and in light of the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 crisis on Black and Latinx communities, we strongly encourage educators of color and members of other historically marginalized groups to apply.
We encourage you to apply using the online application by midnight on Monday, June 15th. For more information, please see the detailed description in the online application or reach out to educatordevelopment@doe.mass.edu.
