Back by Popular Demand: Getting Started with Google
The hugely popular BTU Getting Started with Google series is back! In this 10-hour course (eight in person, two online) educators with little to no comfort using google apps and tools can get an introduction to all that google has to offer. Participants will come away with a grasp of Google web applications that can streamline your everyday work, increase your ability to collaborate with students and colleagues, and bring a refreshing technological boost to your instruction and your classroom community.

All classes are teacher-led. There will be five courses in locations across the city. See MyLearningPlan for details and to register. More courses will be added as locations are confirmed. Courses start next week!!

BTU Lesson Planning Labs
Need a little help with lesson planning, or just want to collaborate with colleagues to share ideas? Join us for our two upcoming BTU Lesson Planning Labs.

  • Thursday, January 26: Increasing Cognitive Demand in Your Lessons
  • Thursday, February 9: Incorporating UDL into Your Planning

Both sessions are led by our team of Peer Assistants and Consulting Teachers and will be held from 3-6 PM. These are drop-in sessions with a focus on elementary from 3-5 PM and secondary from 4-6 PM with a brief presentation and individualized support. Bring a lesson or unit plan you’d like to work on. BUILDing the Boston Maker Education Community
On Tuesday, January 24, engage in conversations around the future of learning and the impact STEAM and making can have on students, and immerse yourself in hands-on making activities. Teachers will walk away with the confidence and projects ideas to get started plus a new network of colleagues interested in Making. Register online now.
