BTU Members Make an Impact at Teach to Lead Boston Summit

This weekend more than twenty Boston educators including teachers, paraprofessionals, and union staff were honored to attend The Boston Teach to Lead Summit sponsored by the US Department of Education and the National Board as well as the BTU, AFT and many other organizations.  At the summit, members developed their teacher leadership ideas and connected with hundreds teachers and education leaders from around the country and the world.

Congratulations to those who attended.  We look forward to your continued teacher leadership.  You make the BTU Proud!
Professional Issues Town Hall
On February 26th, learn about the work BTU members have been doing on a variety of issues including over-testing and assessment, inclusion, professional learning, ELL issues, History and Social Studies issues and more. The evening will include brief presentations from a number of issue based committees and opportunities for Q&A and feedback. Members of the community and district leaders are welcome. Come learn about the pro-active work the BTU is doing to improve our schools. Presentations include:

More Google PD Added
The BTU’s “Getting Started with Google Drive workshops are SOLD OUT!!! More will be added shortly, but for now we recommend OIIT’s “Spring into Google” blended learning series which helps teachers begin integrating Google Apps for Education into their work and teaching.  Each week in March, we will cover a new Google App in two workshops: one face-to-face workshop at English High School and one Online Webinar using Google Hangouts on Air. Topics will include Google Drive, Classroom, Sites, and Blogger. Further details are available on MLP and on the course website (coming soon).
