BPS-BTU Teacher Summer Institute Call for Session Proposals
DEADLINE SUNDAY: BPS and the BTU are collaborating to present the inaugural Teacher Summer Institute this August 22-24. This event will be open to ALL educators, not just new teachers. Because the BTU and BPS are committed to educator-led professional learning, we seek proposals for educator-led sessions. Share your knowledge and skill. Learn more and apply! Enter to Win A Free Course Voucher at BU
The BU Consortium is offering educators with at least one year of experience in BPS and who are currently employed as .5 FTE or more a chance to enter a drawing for a free course voucher. Two winners from BPS will be drawn to receive a voucher that can be used for one course at BU (up to 4 credits). Interested educators should submit their names by June 9. Nominate a Colleague for Outstanding Practice
As part of the upcoming release of the BPS Essentials for Instructional Equity, we seek educators who exemplify one or more of the four Essentials. If you have a colleague who is a model of:
- Creating safe, healthy, and sustaining learning environments for all students
- Developing learning experiences that demonstrate design for access for all students
- Engaging all students in cognitively-demanding tasks and instruction that challenges them and advances their learning
- Employing strategies for assessment for learning that allow students to authentically develop and demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
