SouthCoast leaders in the public, charter and Catholic schools have started professional development sessions together as part of Boston College’s Lynch Leadership Academy “micro academy.”
“The SouthCoast is such a vibrant, diverse place where there are strong educators across all three sectors,” said Jenne Colasacco, executive director of the leadership academy.
The micro academy was piloted last year off campus with several principals from schools under the Diocese of Fall River and will continue this year. This second off-campus three-year program, which started in September, expands all three sectors including the diocese, New Bedford Public Schools, Fall River Public Schools, Alma del Mar, Nativity Preparatory School and Our Sisters’ School, thanks to support from the Carney Family Foundation and BankFive based in Fall River.
