2019 BPS Teacher Summer Institute: August 20
Join us at the 3rd Annual Teacher Summer Institute jointly sponsored by the BTU and BPS. This year’s TSI is a one-day event featuring welcoming addresses from our new Superintendent Dr. Brenda Casselius, BTU President Jessica Tang, as well as a Keynote address from Jaime Casap, Chief Education Evangelist at Google. With 40 sessions in all, half of them led by fellow BTU members, we have a jam-packed day of learning and exploration that will energize and inspire you for the upcoming school year! NEW — The Aspire Institute Teacher Support Program: Mentor Program
The Aspire Institute at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development invites you to take part in their teacher support mentor program. As part of the program, new teachers will be matched with mentors to help increase classroom efficacy and retention. View the flyer.

NEW — Paraprofessional Teacher Preparation Grant Program
This grant is for any Paraprofessionals interested in becoming a teacher. It provides financial assistance to Massachusetts residents currently employed as paraprofessionals in Massachusetts public schools. Financial need is not a requirement. Apply on their website.

NEW — Paras as Partners: September 6
Join us for a conference for Early Childhood Paraprofessionals, with keynote speaker Superintendent Brenda Cassellius. The conference will be held at the BTU from 8:30am-2:30pm. Deadline to register is August 30. View the flyer.

Para PD will be held on September 4 for Grades 2-12, and September 6 for K0-K2. Please see the flyer for more information. The deadline has been extended to August 30.
