BPS teachers perform songs composed for canceled student showcase

BOSTON — The coronavirus canceled school and their big performance, but two music teachers at the Dennis C. Haley Pilot School in Boston found a way to keep the music alive.

Back in January, Boston 25 visited Jason Wise and Dan Dehart’s class as their 7th and 8th graders were preparing an original ‘hip-hopera’ the music teachers co-wrote about Little Rock 9. They previewed one song at the Boston Public School annual MLK celebration, sponsored by Boston 25 News.
