There’s a different feeling in the air this week — fall has arrived and along with the changing leaves comes an increased sense of urgency around supporting our BTU-endorsed candidates for Boston City Council! There’s just 26 days to go until the election, so check your calendar now and sign up to help make a difference.

Henry Santana, At-Large

There are so many opportunities to knock doors with Team Santana this weekend! Join Henry for canvasses in:

Ruthzee Louijeune, At-Large

Be sure to note that the Sunday morning canvass for Henry Santana is also a joint canvass with Councilor Louijeune! You’ll get more bang for your door-knocking buck by signing up to volunteer for both of these great candidates.

Team Ruthzee is knocking on doors in a different neighborhood each weekend. They’ve set up a signup link, so if you’re interested in knocking doors with them please sign up at this link and the campaign will contact you with specific events  in different neighborhoods.

Councilor Julia Mejia, At-Large

On Sunday meet them in Hyde Park at 1 pm at Rincon Caribeno Restaurant (18 Fairmount Ave, 02136) to get your turf and chat with voters about the importance of sending Councilor Mejia back to City Council and to the Education Committee!

Joel Richards, District 3

BTU Phone Banks

In addition to these door-knocking opportunities, we’ll be holding phone bank opportunities at the BTU over the next two weeks. Join us and spend some time reaching out to your fellow BTU members about the importance of this election! Phone banks will happen from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on:
  • Monday, October 16
  • Tuesday, October 17
  • Thursday, October 19
  • Monday, October 23
  • Tuesday, October 24
  • Thursday, October 26
  • Monday, October 30

If you’d like to be part of a phone bank, please reach out to BTU’s Political director Johnny McInnis ! We would love to see you there.

If you have any questions about these events or about how you can help the BTU support our candidates, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I love helping people find the volunteer role that’s right for them.
