“We’re seeking an end to the districts practice of insisting that general education classroom teachers, serve as both a general ed, teacher, a special education teacher and an ESL teacher,” Boston Teachers Union President Erik Berg said. “We think that students with disabilities and multilingual learners need and deserve the support of an additional teacher in order to thrive in our general education classrooms.”
