Boston Public Schools students will return to the classroom Tuesday morning for the first time in the New Year, despite a rise in COVID-19 cases across Massachusetts and worries from the teacher’s union about testing protocols and preparations for the virus’ surge.
Roughly 150 teachers tested positive for COVID over the weekend, but after the city offered rapid tests to each of the school district’s more than 10,000 staff Monday, that number could rise.
