“Boston city officials want to either close, merge or move some of Boston’s existing schools. They argue it would be a better use of resources, as some of the district’s existing buildings are dilapidated.

The “long-term facilities plan” reimagines the school district’s physical footprint and offers a vision for a new chapter of BPS — one officials say turns the page for an old district that was founded “principles of institutional racism.”
