The students, they said, are dedicated, hard-working, and learning fast.
Why do top officials want them out? Because they’re approaching their 22nd birthdays, and a BPS policy adopted by the School Committee in 1999 says schools can’t educate students who are 22.
“If you saw how hard our students work, you would understand how heartbreaking it is to have them leave before they can have their graduation,” said teacher Gina Cogan.
