Seventy-one percent of Boston Public Schools buses dropped off kids to class on time yesterday for the second day of school, according to BPS data.

Ninety-three percent arrived within 15 minutes of school start time.

It was a significant improvement over the first day, when only 51 percent managed to get kids to school on time.

Last year, 70 percent arrived on time for the second day of school and 92 percent arrived within 15 minutes.
