Interim School Superintendent Laura Perille said Wednesday that she will move forward with BuildBPS proposals, including school renovations, new construction, and grade reconfiguration and that she will release an outline of the plan this school year.
“We will be re-engaging a little bit later this fall,” she said. “It’s a multiyear process, but the conversation and the outlines of a plan that everyone can look at and touch and respond to — that I believe needs to happen this year,” she said.
Those BuildBPS decisions need to happen before any system-wide school start time changes, Perille said, so she won’t be making proposals about start time changes this school year — which means there can’t be big changes for the start of the 2019–2020 school year.
