McCormack —The plan announced last month is to change the building so it will become a 7–12 high school, which should take about two years of construction. Existing BPS high schools will be able to bid to move into the building. Meanwhile, the McCormack’s 7th and 8th grades are to be moved to Excel High School. (Mentioned in the South Boston plan. There will probably be more on the McCormack in the Dorchester plan when it’s released. It’s the first middle school that school officials want to close. See reports here and here.)
