Rally for Public Education this Saturday, May 20!
This Saturday, May 20 from 2-5 PM at the Boston Common: WE NEED YOU THERE! Please wear your BTU t-shirt at the rally. Stop by the office if you need one! (We also encourage students and parents to wear school-related shirts to represent all of the wonderful public schools communities we are a part of.) Please join us as we now bring the fight against the DeVos-Trump and Baker agenda and to the State House in a rally for full funding of our schools, less testing more learning, and debt-free higher education! For more details and to RSVP visit massedjustice.org and please share our flyers. Arts in public education will also be highlighted, and many of our BPS students (Orchard Gardens, West Roxbury Academy), parents (Mendell and Hernandez) and educators (BCLA and Edison) will be showcased at the rally. Please come out to support them, too!

Hub Community Schools Showcase
Please join us Wednesday, May 17 from 5:30-8:30 PM at the BPS Bolling Building. Dinner, childcare and interpretation available! Hub Schools are a model for school improvement based on identifying the needs and assets of a school community and bringing together stakeholders (parents, teachers, students, district, community, and health partners) to determine how best to use their resources to support the whole student and family. On the 63rd anniversary of the Brown v. Board Supreme Court decision, this event is a timely discussion for the continued pursuit of quality public education for all students. Please register and spread the word with our flyer!

Early Ed Committee Survey
The Early Education Committee of the BTU has created a survey to instruct the committee on what services and supports are best suited for advocacy in the district. We invite all early educators to participate in this confidential survey. Your input is appreciated! If you are interested in joining the Early Ed committee, please email shoulder@btu.org to be added to the listserv.
