Restorative Justice Learning Community Session

EQT4 FAQ Sheet
The LGBTQ Committee of the BTU in collaboration with The Office of Equity and The Safe and Welcoming Schools office has put together a FAQ sheet to assist members in fully understanding the Superintendent Circular EQT4 and BPS policies surrounding our LGBTQA students. North Dorchester & South Boston Meet and Greet
Finding it hard to make it to a regular membership meeting? Not to worry, a BTU Regional Meet and Greet is coming to the North Dorchester and South Boston area! Come and share your thoughts and ideas, ask questions and get answers about the important issues in your classrooms and schools. The Meet and Greet will take place on Thursday, March 23 from 4:30-6:30 PM at Restaurante Cesaria, 266 Bowdoin Street in Dorchester. We hope to see you all there. See the flyer for more information.

Membership Meeting Childcare Registration
This year we have been piloting a childcare program at our membership meetings in an attempt to make our meetings more accessible to our members. Prior registration is required if interested in utilizing childcare while attending our meetings, please access the registration page. Childcare for children potty trained through 6 years old is provided by the licensed and insured Rockwood Early Education Academy and children 6-12 years old by a licensed BTU member.

Boston Parent Conference on Saturday, March 11
The Boston Teachers Union Parent 2 Parent Conference and Boston Public Schools Parent University, together with the Citywide Parent Council and Boston Education Justice Alliance are teaming up this year to bring you a joint conference on March 11! Please share the info! You can register here (please register–there is limited capacity!). Breakfast, lunch, childcare and interpretation available. Language specific workshops are also available. You can also find more information and flyers to download on the BTU website. We need volunteers — please let us know if you are able to help.

Immigrant Rights/Unafraid Educators Meeting

Boston Education Justice Alliance Monthly Meeting
Please join us on Thursday, March 2 from 6-7:30 PM. Come join parents, students, educators and community allies in our fight for educational justice. We will be discussing budget cuts, school revenue, and stopping school closures/consolidations. Join us at the Mattapan Library, 1350 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan.
