Upcoming City Council Education Hearings

  • Vocational Education on Monday, November 26 at 3 PM:This hearing order was filed to explore ways on how the City can be more proactive in supporting vocational education in the Boston Public Schools, specifically on how to elevate Madison Park High School.
  • School Committee Governance Structure on Tuesday, December 11 at 5 PM:This hearing order was filed due to a demand in exploring an elected vs. appointed school committee body and to begin a discussion on the pros and cons of each structure. Currently, Boston is the only city in Massachusetts with an appointed School Committee.

Organizing for Ethnic Studies in BPS

More than 40 amazing educators came together on Friday for a Professional Development workshop to begin laying the groundwork for Ethnic Studies in Boston Public Schools.
