Good morning. Please see the important time sensitive information regarding the upcoming BTU election below.

The BTU’s biennial election of officers is going on this year. Members can vote by mail — all members will receive a mail-in ballot. In-person voting will be held at the BTU on May 3 for the primary and June 7 for the final election. A contract has been signed with AAA to administer this election.

Nomination papers need to be handed in at the BTU during the March 8 membership meeting before 6:30 or the end of the meeting, whichever is last. A list of candidates will be posted on March 10.

What should I do to be sure I am a BTU member and will receive a mail-in ballot?
To be a member in good standing you must have filled out a union membership application card. Cards must be received at the BTU by March 8 in order to vote in the primary election. To receive a mail-in ballot make sure the BTU has your correct mailing address. If you did not get an email to verify your address or have questions about your membership status, please call the BTU at 617-288-2000 or email ddwyer@btu.org.

  • May 18
  • May 31, and

We thank you for your interest in the upcoming union election!

On Wednesday, March 1 from 5-7 PM, join our organizing committees at the BTU as we hear from Russell Johnston about how the current state accountability system, which identifies Level 1-5 schools and designates “Turnaround” and “Level 5 Receiver” schools, currently works and how we can improve the current accountability system. Ask questions, share your experiences, and come with ideas about how to improve the system. For questions, please contact Jessica at jtang@btu.org. To RSVP, please email shoulder@btu.org.
