Negotiations Continue, BTU Winter Conference, Red Sox and More
Published On: January 31, 2017
Good morning. We’ve met twice recently in negotiations, and we’ll be back at it for four more full days of bargaining beginning the week of February 6.
In the meantime, this Friday and all Fridays going forward until our contract is settled are BTU Contract Fairness Days. We ask that all members wear something in BTU blue and our BTU stickers as well. Then upload your photos for all to enjoy!
Office Hours: Our secretarial staff will be in Google Doc training on Tuesday, February 7 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, and our phones will be off during that time.
BTU Winter Conference this Saturday: Please plan to join us for our BTU Winter Conference this Saturday, February 4. Our confirmed keynote speaker will be Chicago Teachers Union Vice-President Jessie Sharkey. We hope to see you this Saturday, February 4 from 9 AM to 3 PM, open to all building reps and ALL interested BTU members. This conference will feature various workshops to help better prepare us for the changes approaching in our district and nationwide. To register to attend and learn more visit btu.org/WinterConference. Breakfast, lunch and childcare will be provided. See the flyer for more details, and take a look at the tentative agenda.
