We are writing to share a few important updates on vaccination availability as we continue to advocate for a comprehensive, equitable and efficient vaccination plan from the state. We have created a Vaccine Resources page on our website that will be updated regularly as new opportunities become available.
- This morning, the state shared that Massachusetts is designating 4 days where the state’s 7 mass vaccination sites will only offer 1st dose appointments for K-12 educators, child care workers and K-12 school staff. These dates are: Saturday, March 27, Saturday, April 3, Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11. Workers in this group must use the pre-registration system to request an appointment at one of the seven mass vaccination sites and attest they are a K-12 educator, childcare worker or K-12 school staff.
- For educators already back in-person: Boston Medical Center is using this Interest Form to collect names and contact information of individuals who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. As vaccinations become more available, BMC will call individuals to schedule a vaccine appointment at one of their community vaccine clinics. They are prioritizing educators who have already been back in person for these appointments. Use your BPS email to register.
- For school employees who are currently eligible and have been back in person already (those that are 65+, have two or more comorbidities and ABA’s/Behavioral Health professionals), please use this link to get appointments at the Tufts clinic. In addition, the district is following up with those who are currently eligible for priority slots. Use your BPS email to register.
- Bostonians of color currently eligible and all educators living in Boston can sign up for the Reggie Lewis Center clinic on March 17. Use your BPS email to register.
Please visit our Vaccine Resources page regularly for new info, as resources are being shared often.
Lastly, please remember, as stated in the last two weekly bulletins, that to attend today’s membership meeting, you must register for the link by 4:30 p.m. We will be sharing and discussing the latest mandate from the Commissioner that all elementary students be able to return to in-person school 5 days a week by April 5, and how this may impact Boston schools.
Be safe and see you later this afternoon,
