The Office of Human Capital announces the launch of the 2nd cohort of the Boston Public Schools Accelerated Community to Teacher (ACTT) Program as part of an overarching strategy to increase and improve the diversity of exemplary teachers in the district’s teacher pipeline.  The program will prepare racially, culturally and linguistically diverse Boston residents OR BPS paraprofessionals, and substitutes to become novice teachers.
The BPS Accelerated Community to Teacher Program (ACTT) is an intensive 9 month program is designed to prepare interested residents of the Boston community who hold a Bachelor’s degree and experiences working with children in a classroom setting to become novice teachers with a preliminary license.
The program will be delivered on Saturdays from 9 AM – 3 PM, October 24, 2015 – June 25 2016. See the flyer for more information.
Application due dates:
  • First application deadline: 11:59 PM on August 14*
  • Final application deadline: 11:59 PM on Monday September 11*

*Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; however, all decisions will be made in October.
