Elevate your voice and grow our power in the AFT/BTU Teacher Leader Program. See our flyer for more details or apply today! The deadline is September 16. The fellowship stipend is $1,500.

Focused on Practice? The BTU Inquiry Project: Renew, Reinvigorate, Research
In this teacher-led course earn graduate credit by conducting action research into a question of practice connected to your identity and important to you and your students. Open to ALL BTU members. See our flyer or this FAQ for more information and to apply.

High School Teachers: Want More Relevant Professional Learning?
The Telescope Network has you covered! Supported by a Nellie Mae Education Foundation grant, the Telescope Network is a BTU/BPS effort to assess the needs of high school educators and empower them to drive their own professional learning. Please take our brief Needs Assessment Survey to help us connect you with colleagues who share your interests and challenges. Learn more about The Telescope Network and our teacher-led professional learning models, or contact your Networkers Alison Mosher and Mark Lonergan for more information.

NEW — PD Certificates from 2017-18 School Year

Bullying Prevention and Intervention Trainings
Succeed Boston (formerly the Counseling and Intervention Center) is offering trainings on information and protocols for reporting and investigating bullying. These 12-hour, two-day trainings, as well as two-hour refresher courses, will be held quarterly throughout SY2018-19, after which participants will be certified as a Bullying Prevention and Intervention Specialist. These Specialists will be able to lead trainings in their home school each year and develop culture and climate to foster safe and welcoming schools. See their flyer for dates and details, and contact Flavia Santos with questions: fsantos@bostonpublicschools.org.
