TOMORROW — Joyful Learning Symposium
Everyone is welcome from 4:30-7:30pm at the Dearborn STEM Academy to Celebrate Teaching and Learning in 2018-2019. The Telescope Network and BTR are co-hosting. NEW — 2019-2020 Teacher Leadership Fund Grantees Announced
Congratulations to the 24 teams who have been awarded grants in this year’s Teacher Leadership Fund (TLF) cohort. The TLF is a feature of our contract which empowers teams of educators to address challenges facing marginalized students. The grantee teams came together last week at the BTU to build community and make connections across grants. We look forward to learning with and from their work.

NEW — BPS/BTU National Board Support Sessions: June 4, 12, and 13
Are you interested in starting the process of National Board Certification? The BPS/BTU National Board Program currently has two types of support sessions available. General Information sessions provide a basic overview of National Board Certification. These sessions are currently available online through Google Hangouts. Candidate Drop-In Support sessions provide a launch for candidates who are working on Components 2 and 4. After the initial face-to-face session, candidates will receive follow-up support online. NEW — Suffolk University Course Scholarships: Deadline June 10
BPS educators can enter a scholarship lottery to earn graduate credit at Suffolk University for free! If selected, educators will be able to choose an online or on-campus graduate level course to take this fall. To be eligible, winners must have completed a bachelor’s degree and must be able to provide an undergraduate transcript. NEW — Teacher Summer Institute Save the Date and Call for Presenters: Deadline June 12
We are excited to announce the Teacher Summer Institute will be held on Tuesday, August 20. We are seeking proposals for educator-led sessions during the 3rd Annual Teacher Summer Institute. We invite you to apply today to share your knowledge and skills. Proposals are due June 12.

Summer Pathways Programs: Late Deadline: June 12
The Summer Pathway Programs for Severe and Moderate Disabilities and for ESL licensure will be held in July and are posted on My Learning Plan. Interested BPS staff need to register for the application process on My Learning Plan. The deadline has been extended to June 12 for late applications which will considered on a space-available basis. NEW — Enter Lottery for Free BU Course Voucher: Deadline June 14
The BU Consortium is offering current BPS educators (.5 FTE or higher) a chance to win a free course voucher. Two winners will be drawn to receive a voucher for one 4-credit course at BU. Educators should submit their names via this Google Form
