Ethnic Studies PD Opportunity: November 22, 9 am-4 pm
This workshop builds on last year’s Ethnic Studies PD. BPS educators came together to discuss a way forward for ethnic studies across our district.
Fund for Teachers: Design Your Own Transformative PD
The BTU is a proud local partner of Fund for Teachers. Applications are now open for this year. The Boston program is open to BPS and Boston charter school teachers to apply for grants to design a professional learning experiences that inspire and sustain them. Use the Application Learning Center or contact Paul for more information.

Edcamp Planning Team
: We’re starting to plan upcoming BPS/BTU Edcamps (hopefully in fall/winter and in spring). If you’d like to join in planning an engaging adult learning experience, contact us. Most of the planning work happens via email with maybe one pre-event meet-up.

In May 2020, the BU Consortium will host its annual PD event.  In order to help us identify this year’s topic, we’re asking members to please complete the following brief survey.
NEW- The Grants Program
This supports members who seek to investigate problems of practice in their own classrooms, schools, and districts by funding small educator-led projects. Applications for 2020-2021 projects will be available in January 2020. Contact BTU Members Nick Kapura and Theresa Garcia de Quevedo.
NEW- Do you teach Climate Change?
In collaboration with BSAC, we are seeking educators who use the BSAC Climate Curriculum and those who use other curricula. We hope to provide networking and professional learning experiences to those using the curriculum or interested in doing so. Please email Ilene Carver if you use the curriculum.
