Bridging Classrooms: Teacher-Led Math PD
Do you want to make your math classroom more creative and discussion-based? The BTU is proud to offer this unique opportunity to learn with and from teachers across Boston. In the “Peer Learning Partners” model, you attend PD with a partner from your school to learn and plan, then support one another back at your school. PDPs available. Registration coming soon on My Learning Plan. See our flyer, and contact BridgingMathClassrooms@gmail.com for more information. The class will meet February 27, March 13, March 27, April 10 and April 24 at the BTU.

Fund for Teachers Deadline Approaching… January 31!
The Fund for Teachers application process takes time and research to do well. Don’t wait until the last minute and miss out on this transformational, inspirational, self-designed professional learning opportunity! The BTU can arrange supports for those who would like more information or writing assistance. Please email Paul or see the new learning center.

Resume and Job Search Supports begin in February
The BTU will offer regular workshops and job search supports that will run through the hiring season and on to the end of the school year. These sessions are open to all members. The first sessions will be held February 15, February 26, and March 5 at 4:30 PM at the BTU. Please sign up so we can plan for attendance.

Important note: Consistent with recent practice and our new contract, there will be no PTPP or transfer process this year. If you are interested in obtaining a new position within BPS, you will have to apply through the open posting process. The workshops above are designed to help you put your best foot forward in finding the right position.

SAVE THE DATE: EdCamp BTU — March 24
The Professional Learning Advisory Board and the BTU are sponsoring an EdCamp at the BTU on Saturday, March 24. EdCamp is a unique “unconference” for professional development where those in attendance lead learning for one another according to their interests. More to come…
