The BTU Artifact Lounge: All the Help You Need for Uploading Artifacts
Need help writing rationales, choosing artifacts, or with the technical aspects of uploading? Drop by the BTU Artifact Lounge! Members of the Peer Assistance program will be there to help teachers with any and all aspects of the process of getting your artifacts uploaded and putting your best foot forward in this critical aspect of the evaluation process. This is a drop-in event. Register on My Learning Plan or just drop in. Registration appreciated for planning purposes. Please join us on Monday, December 12 at the BTU. Elementary educators encouraged to attend between 3-5 PM. Secondary educators from 4-6 PM.
BPS Inclusion Edcamp! December 13 at the Harvard Ed Portal
The BPS Inclusion Edcamp is an educator-driven, educator-led gathering where educators share ideas, practices, and strategies around inclusive learning. Inspired by the “unconference” model of Edcamps, this event brings Boston Public Schools educators together to design their own professional learning around the theme of inclusion. 10 PDPs available. Design Your Own Transformative PD: Fund for Teachers Applications Now Open
The BTU is a proud local partner of Fund for Teachers, a national organization dedicated to enriching the personal and professional growth of teachers. Applications are now open for this year’s cycle. Teachers may apply for grants of $5000 (individuals) or $10,000 (teams) to design a professional learning experiences that inspire and sustain them as people and professionals. Seeking School and Teacher Teams to Rethink Assessment: Stipend Opportunities
The BTU and BPS have joined districts and unions across the state in the Massachusetts Consortium for Innovative Educational Assessment (MCIEA) in a an effort to rethink how we assess students and schools in our state. We are in search of school-based teams to develop, implement, and lead learning about high quality performance assessments. This opportunity includes professional learning for school leaders as well as teachers. If you and/or your colleagues are interested in participating in this work, please learn more. Join the Rollins Griffith Teacher Center of Boston for a Boston-area winter educator celebration! Stay Healthy – Stay Happy with FREE activities for educators to promote health and well being.
